Do Unto Others: Guess What!!

Why Hello there! First of all thanks for visiting this little blog journal recording my service hours and second of all . . .

Let's Celebrate! I have reached 400 hours! Isn't this exciting!

So exciting in fact that I made myself a cake. And I dumped a whole bunch of powdered sugar onto my homemade stencils, too much powdered sugar in fact. But that is not the point. This isn't the most beautiful cake that I have made/frosted . . . but it says that I have accomplished my goal! These 400 hours have been awesome and there will be many more uncounted hours of service in the future!

Dear Readers,

This is a letter with the purpose of persuading anyone who can to find some way to volunteer in their community. It is a way to think bigger than yourself. You will learn and grow by serving others much more than you can alone. You will meet new friends and you will find out more about yourself. You will be able to find a purpose. Service does so much more than add to your resume. It doesn't have to be 400 hours. It doesn't have to be every day. But make it a goal to do something that is for someone else big or small. If you are able to find something that you love to do you will find yourself putting more and more into it and suddenly you will no longer find it as something to check off but something that you want to do for others and for yourself.
Sincerely,
A Service Go- Getter.
